Updates

I made a few minor changes around the site.  The new permission slip, reflecting the new bishop, is now up in place of the old one.  Also, the badly out-of-date Appalachia page has been brought up to speed.

ncyc

Hi there,
Just recieved a notice from the diocese.  I will need a deposit of $175.00 per person by February 20 if you intend on going to NCYC this November 8-10 in Columbus OH.
It is a fantastic event.  Not like anything you have ever experienced.  I urge you to make a committment, and GO!

follow up

Once again Jamie, I can't tell you how much me and my family enjoy your saints. Their stories are fascinating and the way they helped people was amazing. It is a great idea. Thank you.

Appalachia 2007

We had a meeting today about our mission trip to Appalachia this summer, from June 24th - 30th.  We will be selling "Divine" chocolates to support the trip at $2 a bar.  They're imported fair trade (meaning that the growers are paid sufficient wages to actually support a family) by Catholic Charities, so you're $2 is really doing a lot of good.  Also, if you haven't tried one yet, they are EXCEPTIONAL.
We also schedualed our next two meetings, which will be from 11 AM to noon on February and March 18th.  Both days are Intersection Sundays, so you can come after the 9:00 mass and just stick around.  If you are at all considering comeing with us (and you should), you need to have talked to Jamie by March 18th, or you may not be able to join us.  We understand that some of you have commitments to be away for band or a sport that mean you may have to back out later, and tht's ok; just make sure to talk to Jamie now and explain your situation.  Late regestrants (which, as long as you talk to Jamie now, does not include you) will have to be reviewed individually, and you may have to pay something to cover what the rest of us (who talked to Jamie before the 18th of March) have gotten in fundraising.  Please do considder comeing, if you can -- its a really great experiance.  Grades 8 through adult are are targets, though sevral entire families came last year.
